Commercial Project: Bamboodles Dog Chew Toys

I was contacted by Pet Trade Innovations who have a sub brand called Bamboodles which is a revolutionary dog chew toy. The main form of the chew is the fact that it’s a T shape which enables the dog to put it’s paws on the T to stabilise the toy whilst chewing on the bit that sticks up. Having the patent for this shape, they are then able to change the design of the chew section that sticks up each year to keep the product new and exciting.

They asked me to photograph all flavours and sizes of this product in its packaging and out of its packaging on a pure white background for e-commerce.

“We met Chris at a dog event a year ago and he has now become our go to photographer for all of our product and lifestyle photos for the business. He is very easy to deal with, ensures he understands the breif, always delivers the images on time, his photos are amazing and on top of that he's also a really nice guy! I would definitely recommend Chris and his services, we will be using him again and again and again ....... :-).”

Once the product images were finished and signed off I was then asked to go and photograph them in dogs mouths.  This would provide them with high quality content of the product in use for their social media and other marketing materials such as the website and also to print on the packaging during future production runs. A bonus for them about working with me is that I have a huge network of previous clients who I can call upon to model for these images. This means that they can look through my website and say: “can you please try to get me that Great Dane, that Labrador and that Pomeranian to model for us?”

I am often able to do this as clients love to have their pets involved in projects like this and particularly if they get free product or paid for their time.

If for some reason I am not able to get the specific dogs seen on my website for these projects such as puppies as they grow up too quickly, then I put a casting call out on my social media network or local dog groups and find the client exactly what they need. I was actually surprised when I put out a casting call for their puppy chew range and I was absolutely inundated with people wanting mew to use their dogs!

With too much to choose from, I sent the application pictures to the client and let them choose the ones that they felt worked best for them.
