Commercial Photography

As well as catering for personal clients, I work with many companies in the animal industry providing imagery to promote their products and services.

 FAQs

  • This is simple and I would approach this in the same way that I do with all of my clients. Once you have contacted me, I will book in a free consultation where I can ask lots of questions about your business and what you would like to get out of your photoshoot. Perhaps you will be well prepared and provide me with a detailed brief right from the start or perhaps you know what your end goal is but are struggling for ideas on how you would like your images to be styled. Whatever stage you are at, we will work together to ensure that I produce the desired images for the project. I will consult you at every stage of the process allowing us to make tweaks and adjustments as we go.

  • Hopefully you will have seen examples of my work and realise that I am dedicated to producing nothing but the best for my clients. However, if you have a large multi-product project and you would like to ensure I can produce the results that you need then I would be happy for you to send me a product for a free test shoot. Once we have discussed the fine details like the angles, background colours and features to capture, I will shoot and edit an image. A watermarked copy will be sent over for your approval. If you are happy with the quality, send me the rest of the products and i will complete the project. The test image will then be added to the final invoice / image selection.

  • There is no one size fits all cost for commercial projects as everyone’s requirements are different. I do broadly follow the same pricing principles whereby you pay a shoot fee (my time on the day) and then a set amount per edited image. Images are priced on a descending scale so the more you take the less you pay per image.

Special requirements such as hiring models (animal or human), specific locations, larger studios and support staff (e.g. make up artists, lighting personnel, set designers or runners) will be worked out and quoted for beforehand.

Larger scale commercial shoots are typically priced using a day rate plus expenses with image usage and licencing fees being charge as a percentage of the overall shoot cost.

  • The simple answer is yes.

I have a huge network of animals that I can call on for modelling in order to give my clients exactly what they want.

Pet owners also love to have their animals featured in commercial projects, particularly if they get paid whether that’s financially or in free product.

Just to elaborate on this point, for most of the projects I have worked on, the brand has offered the models free products in exchange for their time and this is often sufficient. However if someone needs to travel a long way with their horse or dog etc then they may need to be paid for their time. This will all be worked out during the consultation process prior to the photoshoot.

  • When I shoot products I will often do these in a small studio at home. If the products are larger or need to be shown on an animal then I would use my main studio (in Windsor).

If the project requires a much bigger studio or location then these will be sourced and rented by the client directly.
