I met one of the organisers of the event (Samantha Marsh) at a cat show where I was taking portraits of peoples feline furriends. Samantha and I got on well and discussed the possibility of me doing some product photos for her business: Luxury Cat Towers and she also asked me if I could provide the official photography for an event she was putting on the following year.

Well of course I said yes and that I was happy to help but I do have to say that at that point I had no idea what an amazing event it was going to be.

The Cat Show Live was the first event of its kind and saw 3 globally recognised cat registries (GCCF, Fife & TICA) coming together under one roof to celebrate our feline friends. Think Crufts for Cats without the competition!

Other features included:

  • A Cat Village - where you could meet over 150 cats (30 plus breeds) with the chance to chat to owners and breeders.

  • Hope Alley - where you could find out about adoption and support various charities.

  • Theatre Square - hosting talks from esteemed global speakers on a variety of cat-related topics.

  • Retail Avenue - a large shopping village for cats with over 1000 sqm of trade stands.

Chris worked as an extension of our team for our debut event at the Birmingham NEC. He was so fantastic to work with and captured exactly what we needed from our day, and we threw a lot of different briefs to him! Thank you for all your help and beautiful photos that captured the most special moments!

The Cat Show Live

I thoroughly enjoyed working this amazing event and it was really nice that I had already worked with a lot of the breeders, owners, judges and companies before.

My brief was to capture the essence of the event documenting everything that was there from the cats and owners engaging with the public, stall holders with their products, speakers and celebrities, educational and interactive areas and environmental images featuring event and sponsor branding.

These images would form important marketing and promotional material which would also be used to promote next years event.

If you would like me to cover an event for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I offer a free consultation where we have the opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to find out more about your business / event.
